The Osprey Fly Fishers is the second oldest fly fishing club in British Columbia — founded in 1945 and registered under the Societies Act of B.C. For eight decades we have gathered anglers from across the Lower Mainland who share a love for the art and craft of fly fishing.
Whether you are picking up a fly rod for the first time or have fished B.C. waters your whole life, you will find a warm welcome here. Guests are always invited to attend our meetings and fish-outs before deciding to join.
What we stand for
The club was founded with a simple idea: that fly fishing is better together. In the years since, that idea has grown into a rich tradition — annual fish-outs to some of the most spectacular waters in the province, a newsletter that has run without interruption for over 50 years, and friendships forged on riverbanks across B.C.
We are also committed to the rivers themselves. Conservation, catch-and-release stewardship, and advocacy for B.C. waterways are woven into everything we do.

How we come together
Three things keep us close — regular meetings, time on the water, and the words we share.
We gather at the Coquitlam Legion #257 for our General Business Meeting — guest speakers, fly tying demos, fishing reports, and good company. Guests are always welcome.
Every month we head out together — local day trips or weekend excursions deep into the B.C. interior. From the Coquitlam River to the Thompson to the Kootenays.
The Osprey News keeps members and guests up to date — fly tying patterns, fishing reports, upcoming events, and the stories behind the casts.
